FAQ

1.

Does tattoo hurt? Which spots on human body are the most painful ?

Yes. The treatment is not a pleasant, I would describe it as very uncomfortable , some women compare that to waxing or laser hair removal. Men associated that with scratching by using a sharp tool. The most painful areas depend on your body. Some of you may say that the most painful is back while another may say - arm or leg. Generally, however, there are several spots which overlap with everybody. Those places are there where the skin is thin and close to the bone, such as ribs, collarbones, feet, neck, head, fold of your arms and places under the knees.

2.

How to prepare for a tattoo? Can I consume alcohol or drugs during tattooing?

First of all - get enough sleep and eat well before the session. The body then has the strength to be able to defend himself from the pain. By your own preference you can bring something to drink and something sweet. Of course, in the studio there are lots of drinks and sweets, but each of us has their favorite sweets. I do not prefer drinking alcohol and taking any drugs during the session. Especially alcohol thins the blood and may complicate or lengthen the healing process. Drugs change consciousness, and what may seem cool under the influence, may be something really different when you are sober. Marijuana can sharpen the senses and cause an increase in feelings of pain. I do not, however, totally ban all those things. If someone needs one shot or just want to go out for cigarette to find some courage and loosen muscles I can agree to that. In case of abuse, you lose the warranty and any amendments at a later time due to this, will be made at the customer`s cost.

3.

How long does a session tattoo last ?

I prefer the session to a maximum five hours with the preparation of an idea and transfer it to the skin. The tempo in which I work is a sufficient time to make a quite large tattoo and go out of the studio of your own. From my experience it shows that after 3-4 hours of tattooing pain begins to be so uncomfortable and difficult to bear. During work I do not prefer breaks, each of them lower the resistance to pain. But if for someone break would be helpful, of course I can agree. It should not, however, last for more than 5 minutes, because then every minute increases the time to adopt further pain. Some of you may have a little fever after the session, you may feel also tired and sleepy. Then you should have something to eat and just go to sleep, taking medicines.

4.

How to care for a fresh tattoo?

After tattooing you are going to be foily dressed that should be removed or replaced after 3 hours. For healing I recommend INK-LAB cream, which is available in my studio. Suitable are also Alantan Plus and Bepanthen, but INK-LAB among the people has the best reviews. Tattoo should be lubricated 3-4 times a day, washing the old layer of cream before.  You have to apply a new layer with clean hands. According to your own preferences tattoo can be covered with foil for the first few days, but this is not necessary.

5.

How long after the tattooing I can not go swimming and sunbathe ?

The basic process of healing takes about a week - until the peeling of the skin. Then the skin is more sensitive and delicate  it may itch also, so for the second week I recommend applying the cream. Depending on the speed of healing, we use the cream till the time when skin on the tattoo will become smooth. After two, three weeks, you can go to the pool securing tattoo by cream for about 1/2 hours. Total healing process takes up even to a month. After this time please use the UV filter - at least 50 during the contact with a sun.

6.

How can I sign up for a tattoo session? Can I do it by phone or email?

I strongly invite you personally for consultation and conversation. Nothing can replace a conversation. Best way is to contact me during the week (10.00-11.00, 14.00- 15.00 and 18.00-19.00). If Ido not answer the phone, please send a text message - I will call back. Due to the large amount of emails I write back only once a week. If you live in another city or abroad we will set everything by phone or email. Each session needs to be confirmed by payment of the deposit. Details in case of situation will be discussed.

7.

How much does a tattoo cost?

It all depends on the effort of my work. To measure roughly the cost of a tattoo I need to know the place, size, style in which we are going to move. As for the price difference between colored tattoo and black-and-gray is not too big, but actually colored tattoo gets a little longer - at least when it comes to my modest person.

8.

Can I order an earlier tattoo design before session?

Probably not. Projects are created directly on the skin after prior consultation and brainstorming. It`s good to steer me to what you like through inspiration in images and define where I should pay special attention during the designing and drawing. Then I set everything in my head and draw by using a marker on the body or sometimes if the image needs to be transferred 100% to the skin without my intervention I use carbon paper. However, the strength of my studio is to work in the present tense during the session. If the sketch and place on body is ok, then we begin to make a tattoo.

9.

What kind of pictures should I bring if I want to have a tattoo of a beloved person or pet?

First of all, it must be a high quality professional image. You have to remember that the better the image quality, the better the portrait will be. For portraits of people it is best to take a picture with a professional photographer, which I can recommend or you can choose by yourself. As for the animals it is not necessary to have such a picture, just crisp, nice picture of the head or whole body in good light. I can also recommend Photographers who are shooting the animals.

10.

Can I do a tattoo when I don`t have 18 years old?

Yes, if you come with your parents or if I receive acceptance on paper and telephone confirmation that such a situation is going to take place. But I prefer a visit with your parents at least for consultation.

11.

What is the waiting period for a tattoo and if someone releases date can I take it?

The waiting period is about a year, sometimes maybe longer. Of course, sometimes someone can pull back so in that case there is a waiting list. To be on such a list it is necessary to meet and pay a deposit. But I can not guarantee that you will be able to "jump" before, it depends on a lot of factors such as the size of the tattoo, the subject, sympathy and friendship.

12.

Can I cover the old tattoo?

Mostly it is possible. However, this depends on what is to cover and how we will cover the old tattoo. I need to get such a description in the mail, along with pictures of the old tattoo. If I find that the cover will be very difficult I'll recommend going to professional clinic (epi-centrum.pl) where Mrs. Dr. Malgorzata Niemojewska handles with removal and lightening the tattoo for covering.
But if I find that this is not necessary, I would say that laser treatment is redundant.
